This agency is awesome! The only thing I have to say about PCS is that they work very hard to serve a large population of people. The director of the agency actually contacted my daughter when there was a mix up with her application!! Cant get better than that! ~ brolland
Before Snack Pak 4 Kids started, Mesa Verde staff knew Friday was the last meal some students received until returning Monday morning. Hunger put the students' focus on food instead of learning ... it's made a real difference.
I didn't know how we were going to pay our utilities. Panhandle Community Services really helped us out ... big time.
He hardly ever misses school anymore and most mornings, even Mondays; he is awake, alert, and ready to go.
She has only been getting the backpack for a little while, but I am noticing she is less sluggish and participates often. I am certain as she continues to get the backpack, things will keep improving.
Even though my student has no change in some areas, this program has really helped him because Monday morning he is not hungry when he first walks in the door. Thank you for this program.
I feel my student’s concentration and behavior have changed because of the program. Her academic performance has improved but there are other factors….
I feel better knowing the students have something to eat on the weekends.
I’m not sure if the student’s improvement is all due to the backpack program but he has drastically improved and if any of this can be accredited to the program I think it is amazing.
Are you seeking help with food, household items and/or pampers? Our pantry is available every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 8:00 am – 11:00 am.
Items Needed:
Qualification is based on income. This service is available twice a year, and clients must wait at least a month before returning.
